Serious consulting is a management consultancy dedicated to helping companies achieve sustainable business performance.
Sustainable business practices are as relevant when discussing human potential as they are when discussing natural resources. Waste, whether it be related to natural resources or human resources, tax our environment, destroy potential and produce no value to all stakeholders concerned.
Serious consulting helps people at all levels in an organization understand the link between their behaviour and the achievement of the desired sustainable business results. We do this by providing people with the skills to understand the processes and systems they work within and confidence to successfully change these processes along with their behaviour, where necessary, in order to achieve the desired outcomes.
Serious consulting also helps companies establish and maintain systems and processes that effectively and meaningfully manage and reinforce the highest levels of performance while minimising wasteful activities; be they related to environmental factors or human factors.
Purpose
The purpose of Serious Consulting’s Climate Change policy is to clarify and articulate our approach to minimising and reducing our climate change impact.
Objective
The objective of this policy is to minimise and to continue to reduce our climate change impact.
Scope
The policy covers all operations and activities of Serious Consulting personnel and systems they work and interact within.
Energy use
We aim to:
 Increase our energy efficiency by ensuring that all appliances are only switched on as required.
Switch to energy efficient products with full consideration of the total lifecycle implications of replacement.
Purchase renewable energy for our electricity supply.
Transportation
We aim to:
Maximise the use of public transport and other means of transport such as walking when travelling to and from work and when travelling to and from the office to client premises.
Minimise the use of green house gas emitting vehicles.
Where the use of vehicles is required ensure that efficient driving practices are used.
Offset greenhouse emissions where possible.
Utilise technology such as tele and video conferencing where ever possible.
Equipment
We aim to:
Utilise the 3R’s of reduce, re-use and finally recycle.
Purchase energy efficient products.
Purchase products from suppliers with green credentials such as certification to ISO14001
