Customer Feedback on Serious Presentation Skills Training

A recent email received from a Serious Consulting Presentation Skills program graduate (using his newly developed critical faculties!):-

" One point from the last day, you have ruined my ability to stay relaxed in presentations. This morning I sat through an 18 slide presentation where the "presenter" remained firmly stuck to his seat, with the audience looking forward at the projected slides. He read out each slide in a monotone fashion, sometimes adding a few words of filler.

At the end, I was left stunned and without a message. Under normal situations, I would have yawned a few times, answered some SMS's in-between anything slightly relevant and basically wander my mind off to somewhere in New Zealand or Northern Queensland (possibly with Angelina Jolie). Instead, I shuffled around infuriated that I could be wasting my time, not getting the information I wanted and certainly finding it less than engaging. I wanted to jump up, scream "STTTTTTTOP", switch off the blo**y laptop and storm out of the room.... then suggest they attended your course.

You have robbed me of the hours of mind-wandering rest and relaxation that we have become accustomed to. I would like to thank you though for finally showing me the light. I will never inflict such dullness on anyone, ever again."
